Editorial policy

This policy explains how we make Blogg Magazine. If something you read here falls short of it, tell us at [email protected].

Bylines

Articles are published under desk bylines: The Editorial Desk, The Style Desk and The Tools Desk. A desk byline means the piece was researched and drafted by our team and reviewed by an editor. We use desk bylines rather than invented personal names. We will not create fictional "experts".

Interviews and quotes

We do not publish fabricated interviews or quotes. Our Expert Roundups are composite guides: they synthesise advice that is widely published by practitioners, platform documentation and our own testing, and they say so at the top. If we ever publish a real interview, it will be clearly labelled, conducted with the person's consent and approved for accuracy.

Lists and rankings

Everything in Top Lists is an editorial pick. Inclusion cannot be bought, and we do not run "apply to be featured" schemes. Lists of tools are based on hands-on use or documented features; lists of ideas or approaches are based on our editorial judgement. We do not rank named private individuals.

Reviews and testing

Tool reviews state what we tested, on which plan, and for how long where that matters. Prices and features change; we date our reviews and update them when we notice changes.

Affiliate links and sponsorship

Some links earn us a commission. They are labelled "affiliate" where they appear. Commissions never decide whether a product is included or how it is rated. We do not currently accept sponsored articles; if that changes, sponsored content will be labelled at the top.

Health, money and law

Some creator topics touch on tax, contracts or skincare. We write general information, not professional advice, and we tell you when to consult a qualified professional.

Corrections

Report errors to [email protected]. We fix factual errors promptly and note significant corrections at the end of the article.
